About the event
Elderberry Syrup- Elderberry is a bush that you can grow in your own backyard. Elderberries have been used by Native Americans for hundreds of years. Â The berries are high in Vitamin C, carotene, iron, phosphorus, antioxidants and potassium. The Native Americans primarily used it as an antiviral, immune booster and as an anti-inflammatory.Â
Fire Water- Fire Water, as named by famous herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar, has been used in the mountains to give mountaineers a pep in their step. It has anti-inflammatory properties, aids in digestion  and boosts your metabolism.
Echinacea Tincture- You can grow echinacea in your garden! Â Â Echinacea is used to shorten the duration of colds and the flu, to fight infections, and to lesson the symptoms of illness.Â
We will be cooking and preparing these remedies. Â
Please bring to the class: Â 3 Pint Jars and 3 8 oz Jars.
