Plant Curley Mustards directly into the ground starting Mid Sept if you live in the middle to lower parts of South Carolina. If you live in the upper state, you may be able to plant earlier- just watch for a break in the HOT weather. Mustards are a cool weather crop. In middle and lower South Carolina, you can plant Mustards mid-September- February. Upper South Carolina also has a long growing season, and mustards do great in the frost, but consistent temperatures under 20 are harmful.
